Leading Edge R&D Right Here in New Brunswick

The NB Bio-Oil Development Centre is a collaborative venture with Bio-Atlantech and the Departments of Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Environment and Business New Brunswick. This pilot plant will establish the value chain parameters for small scale production enabling farmers to become principle players in renewable fuel developments and in turn provide economic development in rural communities. The specific objective for this pre-commercial pilot is to benchmark for the agricultural industry the most viable oilseed crop and bio-oil uses as a renewable fuel or other industrial applications to enhance food safety and environmental sustainability by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
