1. All additives are the same.

False. There are (2) very distinct types of additives:
    a. Impulse Products - these are found on virtually every store shelf in the country.
    b. Professional Grade Products - ASTM and other standards advertised, only a handful of companies offering this quality of product. EGO takes pride in being one of these companies.

2. Additives are only intended for cold weather.

False. Although certain products are formulated to be used in gelled fuel only (i.e. Diesel Melt), many additives are designed for year-round use (i.e. 4+ Premium, Diesel Kleen, Diesel Boost). This allows your engine to run more efficiently, while staying clean and reducing wear at the same time.

3. My engine won't be covered under warranty if I use an additive.

False. Although some companies cannot make this claim, we at EGO guarantee that the use of our additives will not cause any damage to your equipment. It can safely be used with Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel (ULSD), Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF), and the New Generation (Tier 2 and Tier 3) Diesel Engines.

4. All additives contain petroleum distillates.

False. We, at EGO, do not use any solvents, diesel fuel, kerosene or those types of petroleum distillates in our additives. However, our "Diesel Melt" product, which is solely for use if you have a fuel line freeze up in cold temperatures, does contain a solvent, and that is why it is not recommended for full-time use.

5. Additives are too expensive to use.

False. EGO takes great pride in letting customers know that the treatment cost for our additives is (on average) merely a penny per litre. The mileage gains easily pay for the product.
